How can we Beat Gout Naturally, Through Dieting and Exercise Forever

Gout is a specific type of arthritis with a characteristic sudden, intense, heat, swelling, and tenderness of the joints. It usually affects the big toe especially at the joint, with spreading symptoms all over to the hands, knees, wrists and ankles. Gout results from the accumulation of increased accumulation of uric acid crystals, a waste product formed by the simple breakdown of purines.

Warning signs of a gout attack

The very first indication of a likely gout flare-up is experiencing painful joints, mostly in the ankle, the big toe, and the knee.

What are the known types of gout?

The condition exists in four known types, which are also sometimes referred to as the four basic stages of Gout.

  • – Asymptomatic Hyperuricemia; This condition is as a result of elevated uric acid levels in the blood but with no other symptom of gout in the stage.
  • – Acute Gout; At this stage, there is depositing of the uric acid in the body’s joints hence causing intense pain, swelling, and tenderness. At this stage, the gout attack normally begins at night and goes on for a period of about 3 to 10 days.
  • – Interval Gout; This is the phase between the real and acute gout, and the stage when the patient shows no symptoms.
  • – Chronic Tophaceous Gout; This results in permanent and irreversible damage to the joints due to prolonged uric acid accumulation. Although the condition at this stage is very painful, it is not common for individuals to advance to this stage.

    Hi Jack,

Gout is the most painful thing that has happened to me in my life. I can attest to most of your remedies, because I have tried them, and they do in fact relieve the excruciating pain of gout. I like to make celery seed tea, by boiling about two tablespoons of seeds in about two cups of water, strain and sip until it’s gone. I also drink two or three cups of cherry juice, and 1/2tsp baking soda in a small glass of water several times a day, and all the water I can drink!!

Epsom salts also works in a very warm soak for the toes feet and ankles. I thought that the hot water would make the gout pain increase, but it does not. Anything to make your blood more alkaline induced will melt the uric acid crystals in the body, and gets them moving out of the affected area. Lemon juice and vinegar are also good to use, for making the body more alkaline enhanced as well. I dilute the vinegar to about 3 capfuls in a small glass of water. Drinking it through a straw would help to keep these alkaline drinks from affecting the teeth. I have been reducing my weight, so the gout flares have been less acute.

Thanks for helping others with this very painful affliction.

Thank you for your information regarding gout. My uncle suffered from gout a while ago and he has an unhealthy lifestyle: alcohol, smoking, and almost never exercised. So far I don’t know any other family member who has history with gout, but since genetics is a possible factor to inherit gout, I should take a precaution here. Many years ago, I experience something similar to gout on my leg joint. It didn’t last long so I didn’t take any medication. I’ll be sure to invest in my health to anticipate for gout.
