Nonetheless, the main aim of all these diet plans is to help people live a much healthier lifestyle.

A few examples of the most popular healthy diet plans include:
– Raw food diet
– Weight Watchers diet
– Mediterranean diet
– Vegetarian and vegan diets
– Atkins diet
– Paleo diet

We must mention that exercising is also an essential part of a healthy diet plan. Essentially, you must work out at least once or twice a week for the recommended diet plan to achieve the desired results. This does not mean that you literally lift heavy weights or work your socks off in the gym to supplement your diet plan.

  1. The wise man was obviously right with his assertion. I think a healthy diet should deal with taking good nutritional food that may help achieve our desired health condition. We must consume a diet that is only beneficiary to the body and research should be made by individuals about the food they eat if truly it contains the nutrients their body needs in the right proportion.

  3. I hope people take the time to read this article, it is full of some basic reminders about health and it contains some of the things that I think we tend to forget. Yes, there is the craze about working out and getting skinny and joining a gym…all of these can seem like BIG steps for those of us (many of us) who just need to first change our minds about being healthy. Your article reminded me that I need to think about health and think about eating and think about physical exercise. That thinking would help me personally to plan my health! That is my takeaway from this article. Another great comment you make is that the information is for those who may have “lost their confidence.” Now that really struck me! There is such a thing, right? Well of course it is. I had to think for a few seconds to if I had lost my confidence regarding health – if not now, I know I had in the past. But amazingly I kept pushing and learning about health and health disorders. Had I not done that, I believe my confidence in my health would have been in jeopardy.Great article!

  4. This is a website that I really do need to read and pay heed to, as I have yoyo dieted for years. I didn’t have too much problem with my weight when I was younger but after my last child, it seems to have been downhill. I tried Cambridge Diet and was extremely successful but it didn’t help me deal with the initial reason as to why I put weight on. It replaced meals with shakes and food bars. It was easy to follow because that was ALL you got in a day, except for water and the calorie restriction meant you lost weight rapidly.   But equally after I lost the weight, I thought I was a thin person, which I wasn’t, so the weight went straight back on. And that’s how its been.   I have tried following diet plans but my determination is not the best right now. And your details about exercising being as important is very valid.   I know that if I exercised more, I would lose weight and could eat more of what I would like. It’s a vicious circle and something needs to change. I like the fact your article goes through all the food groups with explanations of food plans, you also have an interesting way of creating healthy meals and the ninja crockpot looks a great resource, certainly would help me plan better.

    • Thank you, Helen, for your very knowledge bearing and extremely  engaging comments within our better health for today Blog, on eating well and exercising moderately as they are so vital for the daily and ongoing development of this site. I must say, Helen, it is a pleasure to read your detailed and informative comments, exercise is the key, and eating right is a must, you can eat what you want, just in appropriate amounts, honestly we need to stay away from processed and junk foods, basically they are poison, remember  processed meats, IE hot dogs bologna etc are the worse, pure poisonous preservative chemicals. With that said you can eat 3-4 times a day. keep your mindset on your routine exercise and eating at home. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack

  5. Thank you for this informative and well-written post. It was good to read and learn about the various facets of eating healthy. I have recently purchased a cookbook by Dr. Joel Fuhrman that may interest you. It is called “Eat to Live: Quick and Easy Cookbook.” For me, this book is a life-saver for a couple of reasons. One, I am very limited in my cooking abilities and two, it really is quick, easy and healthy! It is a plant-based cookbook and would fit well with what you are saying in your post. Thanks for confirming what I believe and for sharing your knowledge!

  7. I have to say in this day and age, most people are aware of the importance of eating healthy and exercise. But just like you mentioned in this article, it requires knowledge to come up with a good plan. It might be too much to ask for everyone to study the subject.

Is there any pre-made diet plan you can recommend? Would love to hear your personal insights on popular diet plans.

The Adkins diet looks good, however, I would lean toward’s a healthy eating cookbook, like the ones illustrated in our cookbook post, and perhaps look into a slow cooker, and steamer and try to do it yourself. I believe you will  find more satisfaction that way. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack
